Children Ministry
Zion Gospel ministries recognize Children as an important part of the church of the Lord. The children Ministry is therefore a key function of the church directed by a senior Sunday school coordinator assisted by team of trained teachers. The ministry attends to spiritual and special needs of the children.
The Objectives of the Children Ministry are:
- To teach children the word of God from tender age and train them to read and apply it for themselves.
- To provide an environment in which the character of children is molded in line with God’ word.
- To teach the Children according to the age how to avoid social pitfalls like drugs and substance abuse.
Currently , there is a good number of Children attending Sunday School in Various churches within Zion Gospel ministries. The children are divided into five categories according to their ages and lessons they are taught. The categories are as follows.
Starters
These are Children aged between 3 and 5 years. The group is also known as See and Do”
Beginners
These are children aged between 6 and 10 years. The group is also known as “story time”.
Middle Age
These are children aged 11 and 12 years. The group is also known as “Explorers”.
Teens
These are children aged between 13 and 14 years. The group comprise of children preparing to join secondary school probably in a boarding school away from their families.
Junior Youth
These are children aged between 15 and 18 years . The group comprise of children mainly in secondary school.
Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it.
